2009 Trying to finish out the 09 with shots

John (300m) > Magic Mushrooms I found these critters in my back yard while doing what I hope is my last cleanup of the year...... yea right :) They looked cool so I got down on the ground with my macro and captured a few shot. I got dirty and muddy for my effort so I figured the gritty look would work good on this shot :) Feels like my head right now.. had a migraine since 2AM, pills working but still there. Going to be a long day. Thanks everyone on the family shot yesterday!! Have a good day folks! Now off to work.

John (300m) > Sunrise on the seawall Captured earlier this year. This is what I see some mornings on my way to work. I arrive with the sun. Very nice in the summer months, but bummer in the winter as the sun rises an hour later and I leave as it sets. Makes taking photo's hard in the winter. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! We did here and now the christmas stuff comes out. I worked in the yard yesterday getting the leaves up and cutting the grass on more time. To give you a laugh I finished in the rain. I had the lawnmower this time no camera. Still have the backyard to do today, but most of the leaves in the front are gone so I can think about decorations for the house today and get those done. I will try to catch up today with comments. Thanks everyone and have a great weekend. Burr, now to put on 3 layers of clothes and pedal my bike ~ 30 miles. Winter sure got here
John (300m) > Impact Sharing a water drop shot I took earlier this year. I have been trying to overhaul my website and have not finished. Right now just back from a morning get together. Now the cooking and cleaning (me) begins for later today Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I will be off the net most of the day so I catchup with folks later today. Hope everyone has a great day today!
John (300m) > Creamy Silver The creamy silver leaves of a holly bush I captured wile out walking around. Day was overcast and lent to some interesting lighting out in the woods.
John (300m) > Enjoying the Sun Captured along the water as the workers were repairing a damaged dock after Ida. This guy was enjoying the sun and the limited access to the pier. The section leading to where he was is missing :) For the locals this is down in Buckroe Beach, not far from Grandy island have a great day
John (300m) > Braschetta I really liked how this tomato looked while we were in Fresh Market so I bought this and the fresh bread pieces to make braschetta. The tomato is call an "Ugly Tomato", me I thought it was a cool looking one. Hope you enjoy the shot, we enjoyed the braschetta when I was done with this picture. Have a great week
John (300m) > Holed Tree I saw this tree while out on Surrender Field and I walked into the woods to get a better shot. The sun was going down and the light was almost gone so I jumped the ISO up and spot metered on the tree. These holes were everywhere on the tree. Not really sure what they were, but very different. It figures too that when I walked in I would have the wrong lens on the camera. I did the best I could with the shot as the light was gone when I finished. This was the best of the lot I took. Not an HDR, just metered for the dark area and blew out the sky. Have a great day
John (300m) > Sunset Silhouette Taken in an area that was hit hard with Ida. I bike ride in this area and was scoping out my riding path to see if we could go down through here. This is a low lying area and floods. To drive yes, ride a road bike no. To much sand and debris still on the roads. But this sunset was very nice and the conversation I had with the folks in the house on the left was very nice. There house was elevated and no damage, but getting out with the high water was very hard. You get these wonderful shots of sunsets but at a price for living so close to the water. Have a great weekend
