John (300m) > Guitar bed
I broke out my Taylor 614CE after a year in the closet. When we first brought the kittens home I caught one of them climbing the neck strap. At 8 wks I figured I better put this acoustic away as the neck could snap real easy. I got the urge to play my Taylor the other night instead of my Carvin so I brought it out and set it on the floor here. All the Christmas stuff is behind me hence the opening by the door. I was playing when my wife called to me that this was a photo moment. I turned and looked and Marco is in the case. I quickly grabbed the camera and snapped on the flash to capture the shot.
LOL 10 min later he was sound asleep in that case as I was playing.

First day of vacation, my office is a giant mess, Christmas card, wrappings, gifts everywhere. I can hardly walk in the door. I have client shots to process, family shots to do, photo's to print, web page to finish for a client, my site to update, and a shoot to go do................................ ARGH maybe I should have gone to work!!!

PS I can see my wife laughing her head off at me :)

Have a great day everyone!!
John (300m) > AM Sky
Captured on my way into work Friday. I saw the clouds and the sky and loved the way the sky looked. I froze taking this shot as it was 28 and I was only wearing a shirt and windbreaker. Crazy yes, but I like the shot. Wind was blowing a gale and I should have had more on. I used alight pole for support on this shot as I had no tripod in the car..

Going to be busy the next few days. I took a bunch of family shots, some melting snow shots, some client shot and others. Plus have a client site to finish tonight. Then presents and others for the rest of Christmas. Glad today is my last day to work for the year!

Who ever said there was free time I want to have a word with :)

Have a great day Folks
John (300m) > Christmas Lights
One of the houses in the neighborhood I wanted to share. Captured at sunset, I liked the trees silhouetted in the background and the reflections of the lights in the van.

Thanks for all the comments! I am playing catchup before I leave for my sisters today. Have a great day folks!!
John (300m) > let it snow
Captured last night in Williamsburg. We stopped at Pierce's for some take home. The snow had just started. I did a few shot hand held using rear curtain sync to get this shot. I used a tree for a tripod :) ~ 1 it turned to rain and all we have now is high wind and heavy rain. Snow was fun for a little while .
Have a great day
My family is in town this weekend and we are dong Christmas tomorrow so I will be a bit scarce on the net. I will catchup later as I get time
John (300m) > Governors Lights
The Governor's Manson in Williamsburg I captured just at sunset. I really like the fact that you can see the light, wreaths and the stars in the sky
Off to go shopping for some last min items. Thought I was done. I will catch comments later today. Have a great day and weekend and wish me well in the crowds :P
John (300m) > Fife & Drum
This is the fife and drum corps in Williamsburg that I capture while up there. It was bitter cold that night (for va smile) and windy but the boys still played. Most are high school age that play here. I was talking to one on the Mom's helping with camera settings. I shot this through a crowd when the corps stopped to play. The 900 gave a nice job of even illumination for the conditions.

Have a great day
John (300m) > Colonial Lights
Candles in the windows of homes in Colonial Williamsburg. My wife and I toured Williamsburg in the evening looking at the Christmas decorations and Holiday things Williamsburg normally does every year. For us it was enjoyable, but cold. I captured this and a couple of others I will share.

Have a great day
John (300m) > The Village
Here is a Dickens Village scene I shot yesterday in my studio. Getting ready to put these out and I wanted a picture and to see what the cats would do with these.. Have to leave off the snow as this is not good for them and knowing Marco he will sample

Thanks for all the wonderful comments yesterday! I greatly appreciate the comments on the wall art
I am on the road again today, so I will get some comments when I get to work and later when I get home.

Have a great day!
John (300m) > Wall Art
I captured this in downtown Hampton Sat while looking for some stationary for christmas cards. While driving down a side street I saw this pained on the wall. After leaving the store I drove back by and found a place to park and capture this and it's mate before I left. Wonderful work on the wall down there, I never noticed as I am usually on the main road. Glad I went to the stationary store!

Have a great day and thanks all on my christmas scard shot. I did more as I was not sure which one is going on our card or ones :)
