Sept 13: 16th century church
We took the kittens to the vet yesterday and on the way there I spied this little quaint church. On the way back from the visit, I stopped and took some pictures. This church is located above Williamsburg in the city of Toano. Compared to the churches you see in Williamsburg and other colonial churches this is a tiny stone church. I was intrigued and stopped and took some pictures. This church was built in 1734- 1740. It was used as a hospital in the Revolutionary War and a pulic school around 1900. It is on national historic register. I think the Antique plate look was more fitting for this historic building than the color shot.
