John (300m) > Wild Wine Glass
This is another of my Cross Polarization shot in the process I learned from Kathleen Bjroan. This is a wine glass shot in the process. With Cross Polarization you get a choice of low key or high key and I chose low key for this shot as I liked the black background. I really liked the colors in this shot. Thanks very much for the wonderful response and comments yesterday! I was surprised to see a #1 picture. Thank you all very much!

I am on the road Wed and will not be back till Friday evening so I will not be able to comment or put up a picture till Sat.
have a great day folks!
John (300m) > Nov 9: Before the rain
I went to my favorite spot yesterday morning early with the intent of capturing a early fall morning on the water here. However mother nature had other ideas as it started to drizzle when I got there. I setup anyway and took some shots as I had drove 30 miles to get this shot. By the time I finished it was raining and I was getting wet. I was determined to get a few shots and this one shows the light leaving and the storm over the trees. The sun was behind me in this shot and I think that is the only reason I go this shot, Enjoy the weekend
John (300m) > Dec 12: Expression
I am still fighting something so I did not go out in the rain yesterday for a shot. I was processing some of my Disney shots and came across this shot I wanted to share. Happy Friday. My wife is having a procedure in the hosp today so it will be late before I can comment.
John (300m) > April 23: Lilly of the Valley.
I took a big group of shots today, but with overhauling our fish tank. New rocks, pump, plants and recycling 35 gals of water I have not had a chance to look at most of the 80 picture I have in LR. I did run Helicon focus on 3 different stacks in between cleaning the tank. This and the bug I caught on the rosemary turned out well. This shot is straight from the camera no PP sans focus stacking 4 shots. This lilly had opened fully between yesterday and today so I thought I had better get my shot before the bloom fades. I was real happy with this shot to the point that I have not even looked at the remainder that I took today.
EXIF: The same for all 5 shots in the series
D200 on a tripod
105mm macro
1/60 sec
f/13
- 1/3 EV
ISO 160
Nikon R1 lighting system, used both flashes one on the ring one hand held
John (300m) > Perspective!
It all in your point of view. Shot taken with a 14-24mm lens. I was laying on the pier taking this shot. My camera was literally 2" above the water on a floating dock. An Ultra wide gives you a very different perspective and view on the subject.
John (300m) > The Tuner (Tooner) Challenge...11/03/08
The Challenge: Create a photo with your interpretation of the word, "Tuner (Tooner)."
The Participants: Kre8ive, Bill Pador, Karina Boese, jawsnap, Creative Deviance, Lady Kate, and myself.
The Result: Sperzel Tuners
For my shot I took this picture of my Carvin CC275 guitar with the Sperzel tuners. The shot shows off the abalone inlay in the headstock with the gold tuners on the mahogany wood. I use the tuners to tune the strings so I can play in key.
John (300m) > Nov 20: Lines
I took this shot while walking and I liked what I saw. I was captivated by the lines in the shot. I converted this to B&W in PS to get the look I wanted and that was it. I just liked this shot and the way it looked. Happy Thursday
John (300m) > I see You!
I captured this seagull Saturday evening when I was out shooting some shots. I was at on of my favorite spots, Lyons Bridge on Mariners Museum. The light was good, but temps were cold and the wind was blowing a gale. This little guy just sat there and let me get close to get a nice bokah focus shot at f/2.8. This is a full shot not a crop.

Heads up: I am on travel later today and will not be back till late Friday evening. I will get as many comments as I can today and catchup when I return.

Have a great day everyone
John (300m) > Fall Colors
Really wet fall colors. Another shot I captured in the rain. These were in my back yard. This one was a bit harder as I has the 70-200mm ED on the camera and that is a heavy lens. I balanced the umbrella on my shoulders and took the shot as the rain ran down my back and pants. I was a bit wet as I took ~ 10 shots till I was happy as the sun was trying to come out. So I had rain and sun & a wet camera and photographer. But I got the shot :) Thanks everyone for yesterdays comments! Super busy yesterday. What I thought would be a quiet slow day turned out to be busy and I got no shots, never got my planned picture and the few I took last night ......yuck Have to d better tonight. Good part is my daughter 13, cleaned her room! Those with teenagers will understand. 14 bags of stuff went out! I can see the floor and even the closet is clean. We wonder what she wants???? We bought her christmas gifts yesterday, she did not know so that is not it.......

Have a great week
