I think this guy has a deal with the dearflies! I have been chasing hime for 3-4 days and I I get to show for my efforts is dearfly bites even with deepwoods off on! Spotted him through the trees and this was the best I was able to capture along with a bit on both arms and the cheek! Did I mention I hate dearflies !

Rising Mist! Cold!! Shocked the system today it's been 50+ and I got up and 38! When I got here I sall all this mist and fog rising and swaped lenes. Mounted my 24-105mm and captured lots of shots of the fog on the lake. I really like this shot and it was a wapping 40 :). HAGD Folks

2 kingfishers fighting for space.** Setting the stage: I had just captured one of these sitting on a stick when I heard a ruckus. I spun the speed dial from from 1/160 sec up to 1/1600. I am shooting right into the sun, as it has just crested the trees, plus I am at the max limit of my 200x600 and shooting in crop mode to get a bit more maginification. The wonders of 61mp gave me these shots I will share as I have anoter for tomorrow. HAGD. I did fill the buffer :). Never seen 2 Kingfishers fight like this
Treeded!
I have never seen a Great Blue Heron perched up in a pine tree. But here he stands on a limb about 20' off the ground. Shot at about 500mm to capture this shot. He stood there long enough that I was able to drop my speed down to 1/160 sec and ISO 200. I was Impressed.

Ominous
My view 1st thing this Am on my walk. As Ian aproaches so does the wind and rain. I was wondering if I was going to get wet on my hike. Left the 200-600 in the car but was carring the 24-104 whice i used for this shot. I also had a rain shield, large trash bag and cober for my backpack :). Plus ziplocks for each electronics, phone, keys, headphones and wallet. I did not get wet.....Felt drops and even pulled out my rain jacket. Stay safe folks

Streching pout his wing. Banded Kingfisher just streching. I tthough he was going to take flight but alas no he just sat there for another 10 min and I gave up as It had already been 15. IF it was not for the 61MP I dought this shot would have turned out as he was far away even for my 600mm. I had the speed up as I though he was going to take flight
